Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car I am going to look at to buy this weekend has a grey top and Seal grey body with full leather graphite interior. They havent sent pics of the car with the top up yet and I am concerned about the color combination. What does everyone think about this combo? If I dont like it ,is it realistic to dye the top black or just replace it altogether? If anyone has a pic, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

you can certainly replace the top but it'll be expensive (2 grand or so). it looks fine. the only thing about light grey is that they are easier to get dirty compared to black. give it a good cleaning with a pet hair roller and see if any stain marks before you buy. after buying it, give it a good wash with a cab top shampoo, follow by a top protective spray (from dealer). This will keep the top more stain resistent and water proof.

POST 3Original post

I don't have any pictures but a friend of mine has this exact combination on a 996TT and I think it looks great. Kind of refreshing actually.

POST 4Original post

I have this combo and love it. Very rarely seen. It is hard to keep clean though. Attached are a couple of pics.

POST 5Original post

I also have this combo and think its the best looking P-car that I have owned. (Ive had triple black and Guards red).
