TPC will have their tuning solution available as well, unlike a reflash, this will be similar to a UTEC we use on STI and EVO's.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Its time... The white knight needs more power. So i hooked up with my good friends at TPC to do a supercharger kit on our 996 C2. They have a brand new software being released too that will work magic on the car.
If you have not seen their kit -

The 996 3.4L Supercharger Kit yields an impressive 378 H.P. and 343lbs./ft. torque to the tire! This makes 434 H.P. at the crank! (Rated on a 3.4L engine)
Anyways... If anyone is interested in doing a supercharger kit with me, let me know and I can hook you up very well, email me at

or PM for the special deal.
Here is the latest pic of my car. Cant wait for the POWER!!!!
Tom and Mike at TPC are great guys to deal with. I know you will be pleased with your SC. Take care of that beast. I got suspension to do before I think of adding more power.
Kilrgt - What happened to the 997 turbo? What kind did you get...
Mother - We will do all the dyno testing and installation at our facility. If you have not seen our shop check it out here -

Vulture 996 - Yeah man..Mike is good, and he just won the 24 hours at Daytona, so big congrats to him!
Since you have been selling Evolution Motorsports intakes and have been doing some things with GIAC to your car, I am curious why you decided to go with the TPC setup, versus the evo supercharger? Cost? Power? Just curious.
Yes, I've been to your shop and talked with you. I am the one building my own custom SC system and we discussed the tuning of mine when it was completed. At the time you were not up on GIAC tuning for the Vortec SC I am using. Has this changed? I am alittle suprized that you went for the SC you did but sounds like fun to me maybe I'll come down and have a look see when get to installing it, let me know when you are getting started.
Mitty - Your looking at about 15 hours on the install. You can do it yourself if you have the tools and skills. Seems like a long time, but just some tedius details to follow.
Mother - Yeah I remember you! Yours coming along well? TPC will have their tuning solution available as well, unlike a reflash, this will be similar to a UTEC we use on STI and EVO's. Will be a plug that you can control boost, fuel and timing to tune yourself. Email me if interested.
I know we covered some tuning options as far as the computer goes and I think UTEC was one of them but it didn't suit my needs because I couldn't tune it that easy or something and I was looking for something that I could tune myself or one that had preset maps for additonal headers, exhaust or other engine modifications. Is the UTEC now up to the task now? Oh! PS my engine is complete but still looking for the donor car they all seem to be cabs recently.
PLEASE TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TPC AND EVO. I DROVE A TPC c4s in FL. IT WAS A SCREAMER! DO NOT KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO> NEED ADVISE. HAVE 03c4s with 10,000 miles.THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE.
EVO is a bit more evolved. From what I understand TPC mounts to the chasis which causes the belts to slip on tight corners unless you have solid mounts, etc.
The biggest difference between the 2 is that the TPC (Roots Blower) completely changes the power band of the engine making the Porsche no longer drive like a Porsche. Until you can get taller gears for 1st and 2nd, there is a limit to the lower end power you want in the 996 if you want to maintain the drivability the Porsche is known for. Even with the new 3rd radiator and cooler in the TPC, it delivers hotter intake temps than the EVO unit does. The EVO continues to pull stronger all the way to redline (like a traditional Porsche engine) whereas the TPC flatlines before then.
No, of course not, what it means is that they are a serious race shop that knows 996s' inside and out, enough to win Daytona, something evo has never done.
very true evo doesn't race at that level but TPC winning daytona means they know gt3 cup cars not necessarily 996s. i wouldn't infer that their SC kit is better than evo's (which performed wonderfully at sears point this weekend) because of their win.
Carlos, we have to agree to disagree. I think it absolutely infers that their stuff may be better than evo's in general, and they probably do have a better understanding of racing setups re these cars. Alas, this is not a sc comparo thread.
Just for the record, TPC used to compete (very successfully) a standard 996C2 in Grand Am Cup. They have extensive knowledge on both the standard 996 and GT3 motor 996 cars.
