Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I am new to the Porsche marque - been a BMW enthusiast for the past 20+ years. Just bought my first Porsche - a 40th AE 911, #415. Looking for a Chicago 996 group that might be interested in getting together for drives, tinkering and general hanging out. Let me know if there is a group or any interest in starting one.. Vijay

Hey there, I'm in Schaumburg (Wise and Salem) and always looking for others to meet with and drive with to shows and what not. The local PCA has quit a few events so make sure to join so you get their email and calendar of events. Chrome and Coffee is at Iron Gate Auto Condos in Naperville this Saturday (7/13). Always a pretty good show and turnout. https://www.irongatemotorcondos.com/...and-coffee-62/

Do any of you chicagoians have the Fister exhaust? Would love to hear one in person before pulling the trigger.

POST 16Original post

I have it installed in my car, I am in Forest Park. My friend who lives in Wheaton has an 00 and bought a Fister exhaust but never installed it. I don't know if he is willing to sell it.....but if you like it, maybe he will and you can save a few dollars. He bought a used exhaust and had Fister modify it for him. I would be happy to let you hear my car....I just love it. But I have a quite Audi S8 also.

POST 17Original post

Perfect timing on this thread, I also just bought my first Porsche, 996 C4S, located in the nw burbs.

I just had my C4 aligned at Thallmans in Glenview. The do lots of alignments including for race teams, etc. it is as only $125 which is about 1/2 of what my Indy charges and much less than a dealer charges (hell the Porsche Exchange noe bills out at $249/hr. Plus shop charges, etc.). Here is a link to them. http://thalmannsalignment.com/
