Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'typical cracked head' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but watching YouTube saw a guy on Auto Auction rebuilds who bought a copart 996 cab for $8000. Drove the car home and was perfect. Then...
Well watch the videos. Seems like a good guy. Hope it works out for him.
That's one of them. Got to watch it from the beginning. There are 3-4 of them. From the way he talks he has gotten some good advice. I'll try to post links later. Kind of tech challenged. When I search the video on my phone and open it then it opens up on the you tube app and I don't know how to link to there
The guy bought the car at CoPart for $8,000, but it has intermix badly. Randy Shear is an entertaining guy that keeps a good narration going throughout his videos. I predict this car is suffering from Y2K based on comments from Jake Raby on the mk1 car at that period.
+1. Probably the typical cracked head. Unfortunately, he plans on replacing all the coolant hoses before he drives it. If he does, he will ruin them too. He needs to pop the valve covers and look. In the event the crack can't be seen, there are good videos posted in YouTube about pressurizing cylinders to find the leak. Send the head to Hoffman Automotive in Atlanta for repair, assuming it can be repaired.
