Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Thanks for the tip TD in DC, I have the PSM button on the dash but I still used your test just to make sure that Porsche actually installed the option.
Leading evidence: 'Install option' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install option' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

I deviated from your instructions a little by using a stone wall instead of your recommended trees but I am proud to say that I definitely have PSM as the car easily handled the corner.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I think I do. The dealer spec sheet says it does. I have a button that says PSM on the dash and when I press it the orange PSM light comes on to indicate it is deactivated.
However, my option sticker does not list 476.........
Are these stickers unreliable? I know you cannot fit it after it leaves the factory.....
I'm assuming that the non-PSM cars do not have the button or the orange dash light, therefore I DO have it fitted......right?
You can also tell by the time of the month. If once a month you hate your car and don't want to have anything to do with it and then cry after you have left it....yep, you have PSM
You should have it if the toggle button is in the car...
if you want to find out for sure, just take it out and bang out 1st and 2nd gear...if you see a light start flashing...you know u have PSM!
This is an easy one.
Step one
: Find a 90 degree corner with lots of trees right off the outisde edge of the road.
Step two
: Acheive a steady speed of, oh, I would say 85 mph.
Step three
: Enter the corner at 85 mph and then violently snap your foot OFF the throttle at mid-corner.
Step four
: Assess the results.
If you spin *** first into the trees, you do not have PSM.
If your car lurches violently but stays on the road, you have PSM.
No need to thank me. I do this as a public service for you all. Friggin noobs.
OK, out of all seriousness, you have PSM since you have the PSM button. Take your car to an autocross or high-performance driving clinic with a skid pad so that you can learn how your car behaves with PSM on and off.
The test I gave you is foolproof.
Seriously, though, you can try to get the car turning in a parking lot and then gun it. If the gas cuts out despite full throttle, you have PSM . . .
I looked today at the model options list for the '03 and it IS listed as an option, which is why I was confused to not see it listed on my sticker......
LOL

I deviated from your instructions a little by using a stone wall instead of your recommended trees but I am proud to say that I definitely have PSM as the car easily handled the corner. Looking back on it however I probably shouldn't have done this with my wife in the car. Lets just say she wasn't too happy, oh well I mostly blame it on PMS.
yup. clicking on rennlist threads all day long is such tough work, that after 100 page/thread views/day, highlighting some text really saps all your energy b/c of the extra effort. i feel the same way.
I'm working from home today, so I just went out for a blast through Beach Drive. Poured on a lot of roar.
Didn't follow your instructions exactly, but I did exceed 85 and had one tiny oh-**** moment, but the PSM didn't kick in. :-)
Bill
When I shift too rapidly from 1rst to 2nd with the PSM engaged the car stalls for a second, but with the PSM off it the same process causes the tires to chirp a bit.
I did just that not too long ago, about 85 mph, lifted, *** first over the curb and into the bank of grass. It was a very expensive lesson but I was told the dealership gets about 5 of those per month and that it's very common for us that don't know how to drive our cars.....................
