Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am very interested inchanging to a short shift. Dealer want way too much. Can order the kit from Brandywine, but need a decent mechanic for install. Any LI folks have a good Porsche Mechanic?
How about trying to install it yourself, it is very easy. Here is a walkthrough i did with pictures:

TKX performance, ask for Taso [phone removed]. They do all my big stuff, but honestly, a ssk is a peice of cake diy job, takes an hr max. Where are you, maybe I'll help you bang it out one day?
Don't pay some one to install it! It is an easy DIY. Prior to installing mine, I had NEVER done anything like that on any of my other cars.
There is a wealth of knowledge here that you can tap into if you need help.
PorscheDoc's
link and write up with pics is a excellent. However, you don't need to remove the lower center console (where the CD holder is located) as shown in pics #3, #12, & #13. If nothing else, take
C4S Surgeon
up on his offer to help you. It is a great mod and I know that you will like it even more knowing that you did it yourself (or with a little help)!
Yea the CD holder does not have to come out, but it is a little easier to see what you are doing if you pull it. Once you have done one and see how the center console slides back in, then there is no need to pull it.
TKX is the bomb! Both Taso and Rich are true professionals! I had my SSK and other mods done by them 2 weeks ago. Great service! I'm going back for more....ahhahahahahah
Good luck!
I need some advice on which short shifter is better....The B&M or the OEM? I don't track and prefer a smooth shift as opposed to a clunky (or positive feel) shift. Is one better than the other or is it a preference of OEM vs. aftermarket?
Thanks
