Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

True??? Saw a 2003 Cab on the web advertised for ~$55K (25K miles)... the car is setting at a Porsche dealership and can be found on the dealer's website as well. Price on Porsche dealer's site is $68K... is a CPO. Big delta on web versus Porsche site... ~19%. Would anybody expect to see this big of a delta?

POST 2Original post

Call the Dealer to ensure that the $55K price isn't a typo. If not and you like the car, buy it because that's a great price for a CPO car.

POST 3Original post

I recently purchased my 2002 Cab and researched for several months...I can say that is the deal of the year at only $55K.

POST 4Original post

thanks for the tip... I called the dealer and 55k was the price... Just send my deposit in..

POST 6Original post

Suprisingly this happens all the time. The 68 k price has probably caused the car to sit there for ages, so now they're pricing it to sell when they pay for an ad online. Since their own website is free, they put up a ridiculous number since they have nothing to lose. No point in disparaging dealer methods any more than we already have, but in this new online world they do seem archaic.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Spoke to the dealer... it is a CPO and it has been sitting on the lot for a while and that's why they are discounting it now. As the reason why it has been sitting for a while, his personal opinion was that it is because of the color. Car is Meridian Metallic with a Metropol Blue Leather interior. Tried to find these colors on the Porsche site, but they are discontinued. He described the color as an Artic Silver with a little bit of Gold over it, such that it looks kind of platinum. Anybody familar with this color... any opinions?

POST 8Original post

http://porsche.niello.com/cgi/detail...5102011073817# Looks reasonable I personally like metropol blue leather but I think you really need to see it in person

POST 9Original post

my interior/roof are metropol blue and ive seen a few silver on metropol cars that look great, so i cant imagine just off of silver on metropol being terrible. EDIT - here's my interior

POST 11Original post

Although the colors might have turned people off, I'll bet it looks great on the car. have fun!

POST 12Original post

Usually I go with the conservative black interior, but I have to say that the blue interior with the white exterior looks great.

POST 13Original post

color looks pretty good...I don't know about the blue interior, but anything better than grey (just my opinion).... 55 for a 03 cab??? WOW buy buy buy

POST 14Original post

I wouldn't exactly say 55K is a smoking deal but still pretty darn good IF AND ONLY IF those colors are ones that you would choose. You can get 03 CABs all day long for low 60'sK at dealers and mid to high 50's private party (and remember CPO is transferable private party to private party). Personally I would pay 5K+ more to have EXACTLY what I wanted all other things being equal (year, body, trim, etc.)

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well... issue solved... just got an email from the dealer that the car was mispriced... Should have been 64,999 versus 54,999. Pitty... oh well.

POST 16Original post

too bad, but here is a place to check out color combos...mostly Boxsters but still works. http://www.whiteson.org/boxster/gallery/

POST 17Original post

I take back my previous comment, that colour isn't pretty...

POST 18Original post

I have seen it in person on a 996 coupe and it looks pretty good!

POST 19Original post

I seen that same car in calif its A lease return from n.y.Bad color combo would be hard to resell. pay A little more and get what you want.My 2 cents.

POST 20Original post

If I'm not mistaken, nycebo has a metropol blue cab top with artic silver... Looks great

POST 22Original post

meridian silver is a mixture of gold and silver. IMO, it's not a great color and metropol blue isn't my fav either. $55k is not bad. however, i think that's a reasonable price and not a bargain either. as a reference, i bought my 02 over a year ago w 17k mi for $57k on eBay. bottom line, get the color and option you want and not let price drive your decision. certain options can be added, certainly color can't be changed easily.
