Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So My Dad has been kicking around the idea of trading his 01 Vette in for 996. He put about 6K miles on the Vette over the past 3 years. Anyway he found a 996 he fell in love with. They struck a deal and the car is now his. Woo Hoo another PCAR in the family! The car has lots of options, he loves the color too (Orient Red). Full Grey Leather, & Supple leather seats.
He likes having a Warranty as he no longer wrenches on cars. He is in Santa Fe so I will not be much help. Anyway the car has 60k miles and he wants to know who he can get a warranty through. I have never researched this so I did not have an answer for him. Do any of you guys have any recommendations. I told him that AM Warranty companies are usually shady and they will not be cheap. The car is being sold at a used non Porsche Dealer. He had the car checked out and it is very clean came from Scottsdale. Help is much appreciated!
Carfax did show two minor accidents and 2 owners. He negotiated a great deal on his car and the purchase price so he is very happy with the purchase.

I have heard good things about Warranty Warehouse, although as best I can tell they no longer support Porsche. Warranty Direct looks to be fairly reputable. You might also call your local dealership about GE AWS (auto warranty service) - their warranty is not sold directly to individuals and must come through a dealer.
I have had great success with EasyCare. I purchased it at my P dealer. About 3 months after I bought it and the car I had a claim for ~$1300. They covered everything, no questions, including rental car. I think they are owned by Ford and Allstate.
Good luck.
