Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I actually planned on having them replaced 2k miles ago when indy did oil change but he didnt think it was needed yet.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Maybe Im overly sensitive to any weird noises or vibrations after reading so many RL posts but Ill ask nonetheless. My 03 c4s coupe with factory sports exhaust has been a total joy/blast/thrill/life changer for the 6 months Ive owned it and nearly 9k miles driven. I dont baby it by any means. It came with 2 year old sumo zIII tires which Im guessing now have 10-12k on them. First high performance car Ive ever owned.
When Im driving and take my foot off the throttle i feel what i can only describe as a slight rubbing sensation through my grip on the steering wheel. There is no rubbing sound or visible shaking, just a rubbing feeling. One touch on the throttle and the car does what it should and the slight rubbing feeling through the steering wheel goes away.
Is what Im feeling when coasting just normal feedback of tire/road noise? Thanks in advance
Im almost positive my motor mounts are original (car just hit 30k miles) and someone has previously commented on a slight sag in my tailpipes. I actually planned on having them replaced 2k miles ago when indy did oil change but he didnt think it was needed yet. Car runs super smoothly, almost silent at warm idle at red light with zero shaking/vibrations. Car drives straight as an arrow. Only other potentially related issue Ive encountered is an occasional issue, very occasional, shifting 2nd to 3rd at higher rpm, almost like its not there. First few times it happened i chalked it up to driver error, but Im past that now with nearly 9k miles of shifts.
As for my tires, Im 30-60 days from putting on new winter wheels and next spring Ill have a new set of summer tires. Current sumos are clearly warn but not to the point of being unsafe.
I think my game plan will include new motor mounts and eventually a numeric shifter with cables. As for this rubbing feeling, i hope it goes away with new tires and/or mounts. If not, i can only hope this is the worst thing i will have to deal with.
I love every mile behind the wheel. I might have overpaid but Ill make it in miles.
Doc Strange may have something there. It seems whatever you feel is translating through the driveline to steering. The 2nd to 3rd thing sometimes happens with my gearbox. Feels like I didn’t get lever all the way up to engage 3 (real vague with no ‘click’).
This is my first driving season with the car, purchased in March 2019. Havent driven with winter wheels yet.
The rubbing sensation i feel/sense in the steering wheel when off throttle is something someone else might not even notice, its very subtle. I will ask a friend who drives a cayman as his dd to take it for a spin and see if he notices it.
Thanks for all the feedback.
