Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Reported cause
The top was defective and they are using a different vendor or material, I cant remember which, but the problem was supposed to be fixed after some build date that I do not know of.
Leading evidence: 'supposed' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'supposed' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend against the amigo' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I used the 94 and 95 as daily drivers (except in snow).

Anyways I have owned 'vettes and I will say this, they are probably the most reliable sports car on the road.

Gents, I am in the market to obtain a new daily driver - I had my eye on the C6 Vette, I went for a test drive yesterday an I was very surprise on the handling and response of the car.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gents, I am in the market to obtain a new daily driver - I had my eye on the C6 Vette, I went for a test drive yesterday an I was very surprise on the handling and response of the car. I know the interior is a bit cheesy, but for a daily driver to NYC, the interior is not a big deal for me. The Nav and radio was good, the seat were comfortable. My question is simply this, Has anyone own or had a lengthy experience with am 06 C6 Vette ? I am not concern with older models, only the C6. Thank in advance, my brothers!
Oh, just to be clear, the C6 is not taken over for my 996 - NOTHING WILL! Except a F430.
Friend has one that he has put a few thousand miles on. Look into the top (targa) delaminating, that is the only problem I know of that hes has had. The top was defective and they are using a different vendor or material, I cant remember which, but the problem was supposed to be fixed after some build date that I do not know of. The tops were literally tearing off down the road causing cars to get damaged behind them, I am not making that up even though I bash corvettes all the time. Anyways I have owned 'vettes and I will say this, they are probably the most reliable sports car on the road. The engines in those cars last 250-300k miles easily. But it is common sense, all you have to look at is hp/liter. Big motor with low hp/liter, same theory as a diesel that last 1 million miles or so. Also they are the easiest to make huge hp on. But I still will take my Porsche over a 'vette anyday if it came down to it.
Why would you get a Vette for a daily? Usually someone gets a different genre of car other than the Porsche for a daily - more utility, more room, different style, etc.
How about an M45?
Nutbeem, I do not require more utility or room. IMHO the Vette is a diffrent Style and Genre, The feeling it provides is so diffrent from the 996. Remember the Law of life - It is All RELATIVE :-)
I've owned three vettes, a 94, 95 and a 02 Z06. I used the 94 and 95 as daily drivers (except in snow). Very reliable cars, the Z06 was the most reliable car I ever owned.
They are not great cars in the rain, or the cold, under 50 degrees you'll be spinning the tires. I never would take my vette to NYC. They are too low to the ground and I wouldn't want to park a fiberglass car in the street or parking garage.
How about a Boxster? At least you can drop the top on the nice days. The only way I would get another sports car is if it gave me a completely different driving experience, like a convertible.
The Vetter is just so.... just so..... just soooo... gold chainey.

You mentioned your interest in the C6 Vette but I drove a C4 & C5 Corvette daily for years in the Chicago winter too. They were incredibly reliable. I would buy a C6 in a heartbeat. I have 2 friends that drive their c6's year 'round in Chicago without problems. They are great cars for the money.
