Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I drove the Audi S6 today. In one word, WOW!!!!!!! Trully an amazing machine and without a doubt the best sedan i have ever driven. The Lamborghini Gallardo V-10 is outstanding and the sounds are by far the best I have heard coming from an engine bay with four doors. Anyone looking for a high performance sedan should definately check it out, I cant see how anyone can be dissapointed by it.
I haven't driven an Audi since the Audi 4000 and 5000 days when the door handles used to break off.. It's hard for me to even think seriously about an Audi.
Even in the lower price range, some good choices will soon be available. Nissan will be releasing its '08 350 Z with a 3800 cc engine producing around 350HP under the new HP standard. So for the lower $30Ks you can have a fast car that should just be a notch behind the 997 in performance. Although the Z will be a little porky at 3350 lbs, it should have enough power to produce some quick acceleration times in the 0-60 and 1/4.
Granted that the fit and finish and interior of the Z won't be up to that of the German cars, but its low price should make it a good choice as a track car.
I've always prefered BMW's over the Audis, they never seemed to handle as well and have different feel that I just didn't like as much. However I've never driven their S models. The RS6 and new S6 sound interesting.
Lol. I owned a beater Audi 5000 when I was in University - paid $300 for it. In the end, just had a rope to open the door after doing multiple trips to the junkyard.
The current crop of Audi's are a much nicer car back then.
And let's not forget the Nissan Skyline GT-R with its 3800 cc twin turbo engine producing 450HP. So this car will obviously be very quick, but based on AW it will handle well since they timed the GT-R protype doing a 8.25 lap around Nurburgring. This puts it into some fast company based on the list I pulled from another site:

Until you have to replace two transmission at $9k each. Not to diss Audi too much but some of their engineering is horrible. The A8 used is a great buy until something breaks, then you have to throw it away.
We've had a total of 6 Audi's and never had to replace a single tranny. Our Audi's have always been very reliable. In fact I drove an A4 for 170,000 miles with no problems at all. It still had the original clutch and turbo when I sold it.
Maybe you just had a lemon??
