Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone have any idea what the part number for the right side indicator light socket is? Porsche dealership has no idea, neither does my local repair shop. The hey metal bracket snapped so Im without turn indicator, but the light itself works fine. Obviously not the bulbs but what the bulb mounts into. Any help would be appreciated. cheers jon

No i believe that is the housing for the high beam or driving light. The part Im looking for is for the turn signal. what Im looking for is the Porsche Turn Signal Bulb Socket. For a 2001 996. All I can find is for 2002 and up. it looks like its got a Mercedes logo on it in the pic so I think maybe its a shared pet. Either way its not on any diagram. jon

I had a problem with the wires on the same harness you're looking for. I searched EVERYWHERE, and even kept in contact with my local Porsche dealer's service department. He searched for a week and neither of us could find a part # at all. I ended up fixing the wires myself rather than buying a new one, since it could not be found. My suggestion would be to go to Car-Part.com. It's a database of salvage yards and find some that have Boxsters/996's and give them a call and send them your picture. I think that'd be the only way to get it.
