After taking Jake's M96 class in 2017, I bought a '99 roller with an intermix issue. The plan was to pull the engine and rebuild. Then, Slakker offered an engine for sale so I figured I would change engines and then rebuild the original at my leisure.
That was two years ago. Since then my employer was bought out and I changed roles. With my new job I am travelling so much that I really just don't have the mental energy to finish the job.
Where I stand now.....
-Engine from Slakker still on pallet.
-Original engine still in car. Engine ready to drop except for power steering lines and engine/transmission support bolts. Basically, just need a lift and drop the engine (after disconnecting PS lines)
What I'm looking for....someone (maybe an enthusiast) to drop the old engine and swap in Slakker's engine. Connect everything up and get it running. (Before anyone mentions Jake I know this isn't part of his business model and he has a huge waiting list).
I can deliver the car and engine on a weekend.
Some of you would say, "Just finish the job! If it's that close just get it done." And, for those who say that, you are 100% correct. But, the reality is I would just rather pay someone to finish the job and give me back a driving car that I can enjoy in the limited free time I have..
So, anyone have any recommendations? I'm in South Carolina

Maybe you could be a bit more specific about where you are located, and how far you are willing to deliver the car.
I’m in Asheville, I could be 1/2 hour away, or 5+ hours away.
Columbia is about 2 hours from me.
I’m an enthusiast/ hobbyist and retired mechanical engineer, not a professional shop, but confident I could do this. Here is a link to the work I did on my own car, yours sounds simpler, assuming the engine you have from Slakker is a good one.

Porsche shop in the Columbia area for most maintenance or service but I'm not sure if they do engine swaps. You won't find many people around here with more porsche knowledge or experience than Les, the lead mechanic.
I've used Doc's for my air cooled cars and they did a good job.
Most shops really aren't interested in engine swaps like this. That's why I'm thinking of alternative solutions
