I can highly recommend the DCTMS steering wheel shown there.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is there a smaller steering wheel that will work on the 996 that still has the airbag? With the seat all the way back and down I'm still a bit cramped for room between my knee and the wheel (because of how bent my knee is. Alternatively, anybody know the part number for the thinner-thus-lower seat bottom for the 996.2 with power seats?
Looks like it sold a few weeks ago. While googling I found this solution

Seems overpriced for what you are getting, but that's the benefit of being the only one doing something I suppose.
Just so you are aware, depending on how high your seat is adjusted, how long tall you are, a smaller wheel could obstruct your vision of the tach and the Volt and Oil pressure gauges.
I was worried about the same thing when I bought mine but at 5'10" I have not visibility issues plus I love the feel of the thicker and smaller wheel. Can't speak to how it would be for you taller folk.
I can highly recommend the DCTMS steering wheel shown there. I don't have experience with the smaller D-shaped one, but the company itself did an amazing job on my stock wheel. Absolutely love the thing.
