I saw schnells on the vividracing site, they look just like the factorys to me but ALOT cheaper, I would check those out.

Suggestion
Again look at your current tips on your car and see if they use a uptube, I believe you will need the uptube because the connect for turbo's have a different exhaust setup than normally aspirated cars(c2,c4) the turbo's exhaust exits straight back and don't use the uptube configuration to connect to muffler.

hello,
where should i look for couple of dual tips for my C4S?
i dont want to spend a fortune... so used parts or aftermarket will be the
best solution for me...

i saw something around on fvd... ebay...
but some of them seems to be done to be fixed in the back, some others have another hole with a small part of "tube" in the top!!!
what is the difference?
if someone have a link where to get them (for C4S!!!), please report...thans
Generally, the back of the duals or ovals have a up tube that connect to the outtube of your exhaust. Look at some other tips for 996's and you will see that connecting up tube I'm speaking of. Their add says turbo on it, not 996 c2 or c4.
Go to ebay under the heading of exhaust for porsche 996 and scroll through all the tips and you will see other tips for models up tp 04 and they will have the uptube I am speaking of.
i checked all offer, for turbo and non turbo.. 2001-2004
some of the tips have the tube, other dont!
some are for porsche 98-05 other only for 01-04.

Go look at your car. If your existing tips have uptube you will need a tip with same connecting setup. I believe the 01-04 need a longer tip to stick out of the bumper further. most after market mufflers are made for 99-04 fitments. Tips for these years need uptube to connect to muffler. You can always call your dealer and talk to parts guy.

they divide the dual tips for p96 in 2 categories.
one of them is called: Twin Tail Pipes for P96 C4 Turbo Look (these ones hav no tube!!!!)
The twin tailpipe for 02-04 car catagory, I believe is what you need. These are identical to what I have. I bought schnel's off ebay. The other catogory says for turbo. Again look at your current tips on your car and see if they use a uptube, I believe you will need the uptube because the connect for turbo's have a different exhaust setup than normally aspirated cars(c2,c4) the turbo's exhaust exits straight back and don't use the uptube configuration to connect to muffler.
Are you saying you can buy turbo tips and then disconnect the pipe that leads down to the stock tip and add the new turbo tips? I didnt know that was possible.
I believe the tips are welded to the connect tubes. Turbo tips connect at a straight shot,so to speak, whereas c2 & c4's require the connect tube to go upward to connect to mufflers. Look at your current tips and you will see or go to ebay and there are alot of tips for sale that you can see the difference between turbo and regs.
First of all, I want to make sure everyone is one the same page, we are talking about Turbo tips fitting on a C4S not a c2.
If you look at this ebay ad, its for stock C4S tips (from a 2002), and it clearly shows that they clamp on and are indeed removable from the connecting pipe.

fabry - those tips will work just fine on your C4S. I bought the same pair from the same guy on eBay for my Pcar (C2 with aftermarket exhaust so needed turbo-type tips) and they look good. Am happy that I saved a few ducats and they have held up well - over a year. Bonus - any old muffler shop will be able to stick them on for cheap too. I went ahead and had them weld mine into place just to be sure.
but if you notice, they only are for C2/C4 and not C4S!!!
i will go to porsche dealer to ask for pull picture of the c4s pipes and will eventually find out if they come with tube or not!!!
