I think it was on PPBB, about a month ago, 'Kevin (from Saratoga)' posted some pictures of replacing his seals on a Boxster S (same as '99 996).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Does anyone know if Porsche (or anyone else for that matter) sell a rebuild kit for the 996 calipers? I contacted Brembo and they told me to contact Porsche directly since they do not interfere Porsche's license on their Brembo calipers. Hopefully, I do not need to purchase new calipers. Any help would be appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to rebuild? The pistons are not listed in PET, but just about all the other parts are such as bolts, retaining hardware, dust boots, etc.
They can be ordered from any dealer. I think it was on PPBB, about a month ago, 'Kevin (from Saratoga)' posted some pictures of replacing his seals on a Boxster S (same as '99 996). PPBB has been having problems lately, so I cannot get to it to search the archives. In PET, they are called Repair Kit Protection Caps, 40mm and 36mm for the front.
As long as you're not paying MSRP it will be cheapest to just buy them from a mail-order Porsche dealership (i.e. Sunset Imports). Alternatively, Stop-Tech sell replacement dust boots and pressure seals for Brembo calipers through their
dealer network
for $50/caliper. The sizes vary between models and model years so if you post what you have one of us can tell you the proper Porsche part number and the seal sizes, or (as previously mentioned) just look in PET.
PET is an acronym for the Porsche parts electronic catalog that the dealer uses. Actually, you can't get this unless you're a dealer or you get a hacked version. You can, however, buy a CD-ROM variation with PDFs of the information in PET. It has just about every part that Porsche sells for about $15 (from a dealer) 000.043.400.05. There are also some places on the 'net where you can download the PDFs. Are you looking for front, rear, or both?
