Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 2001 C2 Cab and the base of the emergency brake handle is scratched in several places. It seems like the paint/coating is rubberized and I was wondering if anyone has ever touched up that area. If so, what did you use? Thanks

POST 3Original post

What color? You might want to ask around some local highline dealers for their local leather guy. There is usually one go-to person in major towns for this, and they can do remarkable things for repairing the plastic coatings, vinyl and leather.

POST 4Original post

You could even ask your dealer, since they often have a shop they use for fixing interior damage. Mine does work for the local Porsche dealer. He had a spray that perfectly matched the colour and texture of the console. Touched up the e-brake and console scratches so you'd never know they were there.

POST 7Original post

Sounds like a good time to upgrade to the carbon fiber shifter and e-brake.
