Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Car on level ground, sitting overnight, checked before starting.
Leading evidence: 'Check before starting' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check before starting' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Metric miles but temps in F??
Not sure what you mean by locked ECU and wanting to get all the parts - what parts? Where did you read this? I've been on the forum for 13 years and never seen reference to this...but I might have missed a discussion too.
If the OBC wasn't unlocked you wouldn't see the temperature in the display. I've read that many dealers turned it on as a courtesy to buyers who didn't get that option.
Installed the 4th stalk myself on my '99 C2 Cab. You'll need a working stalk and the wire harness. Installation is fairly easy if you've done the research. There are a few tricks and tips to know beforehand to make things much easier. PM me if you'd like some help.
Agree - gauge indicates oil level is too high but there's not enough info to characterize it as "way overfilled". Each segment represents 0.2 liters so at a minimum it's only overfilled by that much. Needs more investigation, checking, etc.
Recommendations from some knowledgeable folks are for the guage to be at mid point when car has been sitting overnight. Then add 1/2 qt when gets down to bottom mark. So if this is a cold engine, it is indeed too full.
Unless its parked on an angle? Level surfaces only guys!
I always set the level per the dash after warm up and sitting with engine off for 1 min. This is what was taught at the dealer when your car was new. Also, anyone who asked got the temp display turned on- as far as I remember wed just code the cluster for OBC so you should be good to go!

Im at the lake but when I get home Ill check it an update. I bought the car a month ago and the seller did the oil change just before I bought it, so I didnt think I needed to check it right away. I dont drive it much. Maybe they overfilled it?
I did this hack to my 99 cab, worked perfectly. I bought the harness from Dwight Pinkerton. See post -

+996 your oil is overfilled - you can drain some put just make sure you have a fresh sump plug washer they are one time use only.
Each bar is 0.2L (metric FTW!) mwhahaha
Once you have a
wire harness
(got mine from Dwight), here are the pin connections so you don't have to search. There is a lot of misinformation on this, this is correct:
Connector Pin #2 --> Gauge Cluster Pin #20 ... Select Mode Down
Connector Pin #3 --> Gauge Cluster Pin #21 ... Speed Alert/Gong
Connector Pin #4 --> Gauge Cluster Pin #22 ... Select Mode Forwards
Connector Pin #5 --> Gauge Cluster Pin #25 ... Select Mode Backwards
Just so you know, no need to remove steering wheel to do all this...
Make sure you know how the connectors come out, simple once you know, but not obvious at first....
FWIW, I have the On Board Computer enabled, but instead of a 4th stalk, I control it with an extra button in the dash.
Custom OBC button
Here's a thread about it:

Car on level ground, sitting overnight, checked before starting. Second bar from top would be your max. Then when it gets down to the bottom mark, which is one bar above the bottom, add 1/2 quart of oil only.
Apparently these cars don't do well with a full or overfill condition.
Its on flat ground and the car hasnt been started for four days. I could drain a little bit out. I can take a pic of the dipstick and see what yall think.
