Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When you push the wiper stalk forward, they pop up and spray water on the front of your clean car.

+1M...this headlight-hating thing is an entirely subjective point that has run its course.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Compare to this pic. The differences are the lighter silver color, the bumper cover openings, and no license plate (forget the cheesy model!). The lighter colors (even speed yellow) seem to avoid making the headlights stick out so much, and the bumper cover with the larger holes seems to integrate the headlights better into the front end view. I go back and forth, sometimes the 996.2 headlights look like a kludge or forced, inorganic design, other times they look uniquely interesting. Thoughts?
So I bought my Speed Yellow 03 with the c4 front cover already installed. I think it is a MUCH better looking front end myself. Definately a good look.

I have said this before...the mk1 headlights where changed to mk2 headlights to make room for the turbo radiators which were 50% larger then the non turbo. They could not fit especially with litronics headight. This is why headlights on turbo where introduced in 2001 even though all non turbo Porsches still had mk1 headlights. In 2002 all 911 had mk2 headloghts
For landmark first watercooled 911 Porsche installed masterpiece design headlights. You guys have the best looking headlights, flowing instead of plain ovals as on every other 911.

Headlight washer detracts from look and adds unnecessary weight
Hate to be blunt here OP but unless you inherited this car I assume you knew what it looked like before you bought it... (i'm being slightly sarcastic and slightly truthful here).
Please don't put those headlight covers on it - I hope it grows on you quickly.
I love the front end - every other iteration of 911 looks nowhere near as aggressive - 996.2 FTW
Agree the chrome washer piece detracts - am happy mine have standard washerless headlights.
When you push the wiper stalk forward, they pop up and spray water on the front of your clean car. When I owned a black Jaguar, I pulled the fuse to disable this useless function.
+1M...this headlight-hating thing is an entirely subjective point that has run its course. If only Porsche had emphasized the component's GT1 roots and rolled out the 996 before the 986, I bet all of this silly drama wouldn't have gotten started in the first place...
