This is not a probability of success.

found this one and almost didn't go look at it, but for some reason did and the grey interior was so clean I fell in love with it.

And the cash from it's sale is going to replace our deck.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been lurking around here for a while, seriously looking to buy a 911 all year. Finally found what I feel like was a very good value on a clean basic 996. was originally looking for a black interior, but most of the ones I came across were real ratty or way overpriced IMO. found this one and almost didn't go look at it, but for some reason did and the grey interior was so clean I fell in love with it. even though wife likes it, she says I still have to sell some of my other cars
so I don't plan to do much to this one for a while until I get that done. original deal struck was "if you get rid of two, you can buy one" so now I have to keep my end of the bargain.
couple of pics to start. only issue it has is with the annoying seat memory not working right. been reading up on that a lot on the forum and pretty sure I can get that squared away. otherwise its a joy to drive and I'm looking forward to getting some instruction on track for proper driving style. never owned a rear engine car before- it's different, but I like it!
not that many IMO, but wife sees it otherwise. 6 cars, 2 motorcycles, and a bass boat. its a motley cru of toys really, some nice, others not.
I just like mechanical things of all shapes and sizes.
Congrats on your addition to your stable! Bummers you have to get rid of a couple for it... I would chalk it up to more money for modding/maintenance.
I've had my C4 cab for a little over 2 months and it took the spot of the wife's minivan in the garage. I need to move things around to get her back in. So I know the pressure you're going through.
Of the six cars, I'm guessing that doesn't include the 996 nor your wife's car, right? Welcome and congrats!
I feel your pain too, at least a little. We have a
total
of six cars (there are four licensed drivers in the family) and I really am supposed to sell the Miata now that the 996 is here.
'''
Nooo do NOT sell the Miata!
Got an 06 with 140k on it, just did sways, goodwin springs and some cheap kybs. Its still a hoot to throw around - if I can get the wife/kids out of it! they wouldnt let me sell it if I wanted to...
Well, the Miata
was
my DD and the 996 (acquired in October 2018) is it's replacement. We've kept it this long and my wife and I have had discussions about keeping it, but truthfully it's not getting used that much. And the cash from it's sale is going to replace our deck. So... while I'd like to keep it, it just doesn't make economic sense. (But yes, it is fun to throw around, and I
love
how it shifts!)
