It required a little filling of the plastic to recess the area and thin the reinforced area underneath to allow the backer plate to fit so that the screw could fastens to it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What started out as a mission to check/clean the radiators ended up in a few other changes. I removed the bumper and ducts to find some debris on both sides between the condensers and radiators. I found the frunk release cable in an inaccessible location in the event of disaster so remedied that. Installing the Rennline screens presented an obstacle for the temp sensor so found a solution for that. The removal of the two screws inside the wheel well near the side markers seemed silly so I modified that in case there is a next time the front bumper needs to come off. Bumper off. I moved the screw backing from the fender to the other piece. It required a little filling of the plastic to recess the area and thin the reinforced area underneath to allow the backer plate to fit so that the screw could fastens to it. Rennline screens installed. I cut a center slot since there was a center screen and if I ever add a center third radiator. Installed the Phillips screw in this location (top down) instead of behind the wheel well side (bottom up).

Nice work. It's not often you can improve upon a Porsche design, but when you can, it feels magnanimous!
