Suggestion

Half-covers / partial covers aren't uncommon collectors who like to store their cars with the glass/sunroof open (or they just want to keep the glass clean between drives) without messing with a full cover.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So this was balled up in the frunk of 03 4s when i bought it. Never looked at it until today. Zipper basically around entire body but not close to being large enough to be a cover. Please educate me, what is it?

POST 3Original post

LOL, why would someone with a coupe have a hardtop cover?

That never dawned on me, my car is a coupe. Thx

POST 5Original post

Yep, that's what it is. I'd be interested in it if you want to get rid of it. I have a hard top in my garage that could use a cover. PM me with an offer if you want to rid yourself of it.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For Sale or trade for a ride in a turbo.

POST 8Original post

Ha! Shoot me a price because I doubt I will be in Jersey (at least with the car) anytime soon

POST 9Original post

I'm interested and closer if you don't want to ship it

POST 11Original post

It looks as if it has fitted covers for the outside rear view mirrors (I may be wrong). If so, why would a hardtop cover have that?

POST 12Original post

Quotes source post: 16009845

I see what you're saying but I think it's fitted to the corners of the hardtop.

i did notice those. they make a small loop when zippered. i even tried to put one around my driver's side mirror as a starting point, but i quickly realized this thing didn't belong to my 03 c4s coupe.

From your sultry description and photo above, it's obvious what it is: It's a car thong .

POST 16Original post

Half-covers / partial covers aren't uncommon collectors who like to store their cars with the glass/sunroof open (or they just want to keep the glass clean between drives) without messing with a full cover. If I was a half-cover guy, the 996 hardtop storage cover would be attractive for that purpose.
