Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 20 year old wiper arms need some new paint. At this sun baked age I don't know exactly what they were originally. Flat black, semi-gloss black, or glossy black? I have a metal shop for the painting. They also did a smash up job on my battery tray in Coal Black automotive paint which looks really good. What do you think?

POST 2Original post

^^ That looks great - you could easily use the same finish on the wiper arms. I'm pretty sure they were a "low-lustre" or "satin" black finish from the factory

POST 4Original post

Did some touch work on my 87 years ago. Used semi-gloss.

There's 4 different shades of semi-gloss at the parts store, you want the one that's one down from the shiniest (semi-gloss). It'll make sense when you go to the paint store...

POST 6Original post

I'd second semi gloss - definitely not gloss and definitely not matte - only leaves semi gloss haha

POST 7Original post

I should be a bit more specific- Krylon , don’t have the exact part number
