Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Depending on your specific model, it could be that the left front wheel ABS speed sensor is used to calculate speed used by the transmission control unit (TCU).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I'm trying to avoid a tow bill. Does anyone else know the location?

POST 2Original post

It really would help if you would provide the year/make/model of your car. I know from your other post that you have a tiptronic, but not having much other information to go on makes it difficult. Depending on your specific model, it could be that the left front wheel ABS speed sensor is used to calculate speed used by the transmission control unit (TCU).

The 02 996 has the Mercedes 722.6 transmission, code p0720 indicates speed sensor fault. the input and output trans speed sensors are on the conductor plate between the valve body and trans. You can get the conductor plate for around $150 if you search. see vidieo.. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...iCqP5NaoSenHmu
