Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good News, I picked up my new C4S today from the super guys at Pfaff, awesome. Bad News, like an idiot, I drove past a very well known (to me) speed trap not 4 hours after getting the car, well in excess of the posted limit ( late night, absolutely no traffic). Good News, the cop was very friendly and in good humour after I told him I had *just* picked up the car a few hours ago...as I have no prior speeding tickets on my record..I got a $29.70 fine, no points and lots of laughs as I drove home...slowly. Love the car and love the hard working cops in my division!!! P.s. The *** end of this car is the nicest on anything I have ever driven.

POST 3Original post

Congrats - very nice! No question - I love the *** on the C4S's. Enjoy!

POST 4Original post

Perfect car. It matches the appearance of my next door neighbor's new 2004 4S. I got my 1999 in March and he couldn't stand it so he bought his first Porsche in August. He gets tired of his toys from non use so I hope to pick it up used in a couple of years.

POST 5Original post

Sounds familiar. Two weeks after I got my 99 in June, my co-worker bought a 2003 Z06. I have been giving him a hard time because he has no passion for his car (unlike everyone in this forum). BTW: Sweet ride carbon!!! Congrats.

POST 6Original post

Congrats! Now supercharge that sucker! hahaha j/k

POST 7Original post

Is $29.70 (and is that CDN $ ?) the going rate for a speeding ticket in Toronto? Makes it almost worth it! Particularly if there is no hit to points, insurance.

POST 8Original post

carbon-00, Did you trade-in your targa for the C4S? Munro86

POST 9Original post

I may be slightly biased but I think the C4S is the coolest looking car in the line up. Enjoy!

POST 10Original post

That car would look amazing in my heated garage next to my C2. The color even matches the paint in my garage. Beautiful car. Enjoy Cheers and safe driving.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, Pfaff bought it back from me, I only lost $6000 over 16 months...sweet

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There are no points, correct, its Cdn (almost par with USD...hahaha), but collect a few of these and your insurance company will love/hate you...its the lowest fine they could give me (9kph over the limit)

POST 14Original post

is that the tiptronic one pfaff had for sale? i hope it isnt or you just became a soccer mom!!

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Whens the next photo shoot?

POST 17Original post

"P.s. The *** end of this car is the nicest on anything I have ever driven"? What about that time you spent in prison? Congrats now go get it supercharged so you can keep up with the lighter, faster cars

POST 18Original post

Man wtf are u on! A soccer mom with a 911 -not but definately with the Cayenne.

POST 19Original post

Go to the granite club sometime and you will see the ladies with the tiptronic 911's. And, you just called his other car a soccer mom car so now he is twice the lovely lady he once was! He's once, twice, three times a lady.. Thank you, thank you very much

POST 20Original post

How many kids do they usually pack in to the back of a 911 while they are bringing them out to their sports events?

POST 21Original post

Then I also have two Soccer mom cars.... One happens to be Supercharged...oh well tough for me, but I'll live with it. Sucks for those stock turbos (and GT3's) to get beat by a soccer mom car

POST 22Original post

Only two in the back but depending on the age, you can get two more in that front trunk and three if it's a C2 since they have more space.

POST 23 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I personally don't give a rats *** what anyone thinks of my cars. I worked for my money, wasn't born into it, so I enjoy the cars that much more.

POST 24Original post

Ladies ladies...please. Ok Carbon OO I have a new theme song for you by Diana Ross: " She works hard for the money" Dude, if you don't care what people think of your cars why do you post pictures and hope for comments? Cmon you love all the attention, just like the ladies...now seriously..what color are your toenails? So young, so defensive.

POST 25Original post

Carbon - now you just need to get yourself some winter tires and rims. Probably should do it soon while they are in stock. I put on Pirelli Winter 240 SnowSports and they were amazing last winter, it was better then any of my other awd suvs I've had. I'm actually going to buy some winter rims and looking at the Mille Miglia cup3 ones from the following Canadian company, havn't found any place where I can get them locally. Miglia cup3

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jason, I don't care for your comments.

POST 28Original post

Christ!! Toughen up! My apologies ma'am. Enjoy the car! and you want to be my latex salesman

POST 29Original post

Yeah, the C4S does have a nice ***, a nice big *** (especially compared to the narrow body 911s: C2, GT3, etc.) And you know what they say about us C4S owners, we like our cars like we like our women, or is that just me. lol. (If it is just me, please excuse me I recently had a concussion [and I was always a jerk anyway]. lol.)

POST 30Original post

Whenever the weather's good I'm busy this weekend, I'll get in touch with you next week to see if we can work something out. Maybe you could organize another niagara cruise, if you have the time?

POST 32Original post

Congrats on your C4S, I almost bought an '03 but after going to Germany and driving a GT3 I changed my mind, very happy with my GT3, but every time I see a C4S, I drool a little. Good Luck!!!

POST 33Original post

Just shortly after I got mine I was going thru a tunnel and wanted to hear the exhaust I goosed it....you guessed it there was a cop on the other side and nailed me. Was cool but since it was a DUI/Speed trap mandated by the city he could not let me off with a warning. GRRRRRRR On another note I love your cars' color. That was a strong choice for me too. I wanted either Gray or Red.

POST 34Original post

I noticed a few Torontonian out there....got a question for you: Anybody on TO drives the Porsche year-round...i.e. not even bothered to get a winter beater ??? Just picked up a 40th 996 from Downtown Fine Car and torn to decide if I'll should drive her year-round here. Cheers,Marc Go Leafs Go...oups forgot they're on strike -

POST 35Original post

I drove my C2 all last winter with no probs. ...and Hmmm, I wonder if Pfaff would take mine back in on a C4S?

POST 36Original post

Hey mbergeron, did you just pick up that used 40th. from Downtown? As far as winter driving, I had a 1999 C2 that I drove through one winter on Dunlop snows and other than the fact that the cr acted like a snow plow (it was lowered), it was fine and it didn't even have PSM.

POST 37Original post

Got it there. #1440, last new one they had I believe. Seeing you have the same wheels, will you be driving yours this winter ? I moved to NOTL but my office is downtown TO....no TTC available if there is a storm. Mind you I can always stay home or drive to Burlington. I'm trying to decide whether I'll sell my truck. On one hand I don't really care to drive it anymore. Did you get anymore rust as a result of taking your out in winter ? Cheers, Marc

POST 39Original post

mbergeron, you bought the used one or the new one they had there? As far as winter driving, like I said, the car faired well but I will be storing this one. Rust? I didn't have it long enough to see or know of any but I'm certain that it will take its toll on the car after a few winters with all the salt that we use. NOTL to downtown Toronto in a good winter storm can be hell regardless of the car being driven. My car has the same wheels as yours because it too, is a 40th. Anniversary.

POST 40Original post

Got (I think) a very good deal on the NEW one. Basically only $6k over the "advertized" price of the used one...I'm leaning toward keeping my other sets of wheel for winter. On a bad storm the daily commute is hell, when I know a storm is comming I take the Go train out of Burlington...not sure I would be confortable leaving the car there during the day. What's the suspension bits and bars you added ? Marc

POST 41Original post

I am using H&R Springs on modified Porsche shocks and GT3 sway bars front and back. My last car had H&R coilovers (the same that the GT3 comes with) and they were great, not harsh and very nice on rebound but I decided to forgo them this time around. The car is completely tranformed with the springs and sway bars. You wouldn't believe the difference.

POST 42Original post

Last year my wife picked up our 14yr old daughter from soccer with 3 of her friends in a 93 964. 5 ladies in one 911 I would not let her do that in my 03 C4S.
