This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there I bought the car with the promess of having the sport sound on demand. But thing is that after one week the swicth that opens and closes the exaulst was not working any longer. It was ok, because I used it open (got used to the resonance) but now from one day to another, the car is completely quiet. So the question is: Is there anything to do to make it work again? Does Porsche sell parts for this kit? thanks WOT

POST 2Original post

www.carnewal.com i think it is around 200 euros the wiring and about 30 the switch. it is though something like 2-3 hours labour in order to replace it. i have a feeling though that it might not be the switch the problem. the sports exhaust operates on the basis of air pressure, or back pressure. make sure that both action valves operates. you should get an OPC to check it

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, Maybe the valve a litle problematic. I will send the car to a general evaluation. For you guys thinking about getting this exauslt, do not do it. It has a annoying ressonance and it does not add any HPs Best Wishes WOT

POST 4Original post

I have the feeling it is the [can't remember the name - but the little black box gizmo that plugs in where your fuses are], or else a faulty switch. The default (i.e. if the electronics were disconnected completely) is on, so to have it "off" (quiet) means it is activating the valves and you can't deactivate them. You are a long way away, but I do have the complete PSE electronics kit that comes with PSE, except the switch itself, which is sold separately, and don't need it (didn't install it and got rid of the car to get my 997S).
