If it was the front's that were warped, then I should feel the vibrations primarily in the steering weel, right?.

I'm getting ready to change my rear rotors and pads, but I just wanted to make sure that I don't misdiagnose and change the rear for no reason.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I get vibrations when braking at higher speeds, primarily felt in the pedal and the seat. I'm getting ready to change my rear rotors and pads, but I just wanted to make sure that I don't misdiagnose and change the rear for no reason. If it was the front's that were warped, then I should feel the vibrations primarily in the steering weel, right?.

POST 2Original post

Probably brake pad deposition....not warped rotors. Do a search on "deposition" maybe? Might try turning the rotors like I did or a more abrasive pad to remove the deposition. You can turn the rotors, contrary to what others will tell you.
