Suggest you do what I recently did and (a) use the dealer locator within a large radius (200+ miles??) from where you are, and then (b) run through all the available stock of C4S cabs at every dealer anywhere in your area.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking to buy a C4S cab and have a few questions: What kind of discount should I expect to get for a 2004? What kind of lease numbers have you gotten or know of? What options are a must? I know I want Polar Silver and I know a bit after owning the 99 C4 for a while but would like to make a more informed decision on the next car. Thanks Bob

POST 2Original post

Discount probably depends are where you live... almost a bad time of year to buy a cab - spring is a big selling season for cabs. I worked out a great deal with Alfie and Ira Porsche (rennlist sponsor) but it was Jan. It also depends on whether or not you are willing to get a car that's on someone's lot, or if you really want to order a production car. Options, heated seats a must for any cab. The Bi-Xenon lights I like the upgraded Bose Option, the standard system is sub par. I would look at the technic package that includes those options I have the supple leather which is more comfortable than the sports seats (I had the sport seats in my 01 C4) and I think looks nicer too but it depends on how much you drive the car. I drive 2-3 hours a day so the comfort is worth it. The rest are really just cosmetics unless you want the PSE, I'm hesitant to get the PSE with a cab because of the noise - but some people love it with the cab so it's a matter of preference. My cab didn't have many options but all the important ones in my opinion... Rob

POST 3Original post

Don't Forget HEATED SEATS for cruising with the top dow on cool but not too cool nights. That doesn't come with the technic package does it? ScottS

POST 4Original post

I third heated seats in a cab; also the bi-xenon's. Check out a car w/PSE if you can, it's better to get it from it from the factory (cheaper w/electronics).

POST 5Original post

unless you live in sunny az where my heated seats are under utilized. Also...i am seing the last days of the all day top down for the season (120 degree days here you come!)

POST 6Original post

Chalk up another for heated seats, even in Arizona (one of the best places for a late night cruise). Ya just want to grab whoever orders cabs for Porsche dealers w/o heated seats, and SHAKE 'EM!! -DT

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the options advice. Anyone have a guess what I should be able to get off MSRP or a rough estimate on a 3 and 4 year lease if the sticker is around $100,000?

POST 8Original post

What part of the country are you in? also, Discounts will differ if you would take in from dealer stock or order one, and lease factors change monthly, so that could also affect your lease payments.

POST 9Original post

Option P11 Self diming mirrors and rain sensor Option P16 PCM Option XLF Sport Exhaust System Option P74 Xenon Headlamps Option 342 Heated Front Seats and the list go's on and on if you build to order, I think that all the 04 slots are filled by now, so your stuck with what the dealer has configured in their inventory

POST 10Original post

I guess heated seats has already been said, huh........ Depending on the color interior that you get, you may want to opt for certain leather pieces. Reason being that if you get graphite grey, for instance, the steering column will be black plastic, unless you get it leather covered. Similar difference between Cinnamon Brown v. Natural Leather Brown. So research your color options carefully. I'd go for PSE, since from the factory it has the switch to kill it. So worse case scenario, you never turn it on (always quiet), but realistically you'll never turn it off.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Live in Ohio. Since I need to sell my 99 I am not in a rush so I don't mind ordering a car. would be great if I could find one in stock and get more of a discount though.

POST 12Original post

Send me a PM with the options you are looking for, and Ill let you know if I can find something on the ground that might work for you.

POST 13Original post

POST 14Original post

You are most likely going to be taking something from dealer stock. The dealer inventories are kept pretty current through the Porsche website. Suggest you do what I recently did and (a) use the dealer locator within a large radius (200+ miles??) from where you are, and then (b) run through all the available stock of C4S cabs at every dealer anywhere in your area. When you click on a car in stock, it will give you the complete option listing for that particular car. Polar silver will probably be almost impossible to find, Arctic Silver is more common (I had a '97 Targa in Polar Silver and I think I liked it a little better than Arctic Silver, which I have now).

POST 15Original post

C4S Cab's are hot cars, good luck finding an available one. I'd guess leases will run $1600 - $2000, depending on taxes etc. I don't know how OH does sales tax on leases.

POST 16Original post

Oh that's going to be sweeeeet Eric You know we want pics.
