Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

But, just to list some of the stupid stuff that I've had to have repaired/replaced in the past year would include the following: numerous trips to get rattle out of headliner, windows and dash; replacement of compressor motor; replacement of horn (do you believe that one??), and my "phantom" brake problem.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, I know this isn't anything major. But, under the heading of "annoying crap that you shouldn't have to deal with on such an expensive car" is that my outside air temperature indicator seems to be out. Here it is about 100 degrees outside today, and my sensor is stuck on 69 degrees. Like I said, not a big deal in and of itself. But, just to list some of the stupid stuff that I've had to have repaired/replaced in the past year would include the following: numerous trips to get rattle out of headliner, windows and dash; replacement of compressor motor; replacement of horn (do you believe that one??), and my "phantom" brake problem. None of these robs performance, and I probably shouldn't complaint, but when the temp sensor went out, I was LOL. What next?!?

POST 2Original post

Yes things like that are very annoying. However, if you want to feel better go talk to some MB owners of 02 and newer cars (something like the CLK class and up with lots of electronics). Talk about annoying problems....electronic sun shades that don't work or get stuck half way up, power seats that don't work, sunroofs that get stuck open or closed, heated seats that seem to come on at will, climate control systems with temp sensors about 15 degrees off, etc. (Co-worker has one and is pulling his hair out).
