0W40 came with the '99 P-Car, I used 15w50 because 1) it was recommended as a usable weight in the mannual and 2) Target had it

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just in case the rest of you are looking for oil as spring arrives, I found 15W50 Mobil 1 for $3.39/qt at Target today -- seemed like a pretty good deal to me. The other weights I saw (from memory) were 5w-30 and 10w-30.

POST 2Original post

What weight Mobile 1 should I use in my 99 996?

POST 3Original post

BSC, What part of the country are you in? I have yet to see it at Targets here in Eastern MA. riozilla, I believe your owner's manual will specify Mobil1 0W-40.

POST 5Original post

I live in Boston, & buy my Mobil 1 @ BJ's wholesale club. Haven't got it since last spring, they have 15/50W. Going on memory, but pretty sure it was $22. for case of six, & they usally have plenty on hand. I will try to stop by & price it again & post prices.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm in Chicago -- I think Targets cover the Midwest more than the East coast. 0W40 came with the '99 P-Car, I used 15w50 because 1) it was recommended as a usable weight in the mannual and 2) Target had it

POST 7Original post

I live just west of Boston, and Costco seems to only ever carry 5W-30 and 10W-30. I was at Target yesterday, coincidentally, and they did not have 0W-40. I did buy some 0W-40 at Wal-Mart, cost ~$4.45 per bottle. vty, --Dennis

POST 8Original post

Checked a Target out here in Framingham, MA; $4.47/qt! BJ's sells a case of 15-50 (6qt) for $23.36. Still unable to find the 5qt containers anywhere, just single quart bottles.
