Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys/gals - I recently purchased a set of SR6's from a board member and will be installing them in my 996. I currently have stock powered seats. I can't seem to find clear info out there on exactly what manual sliders and brackets I need. Recaro's site is pretty unhelpful (or I'm blind). Anyone done a similar install? Thanks, Dylan

POST 2Original post

Not sure if this is exactly helpful, but check out this thread... https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...cisions-3.html and see post number 34. He just put sparco seats in his 996 cab and use Audi TT sliders. I have read on a few threads that these are one of the cheapest and best ways to go. Not sure about the brackets though.

POST 5Original post

Actually looking at picture of the seats, are those bottom mount seats?

POST 6Original post

Kirkey also sells a set of sliders that are very thin,, and not outrageously expensive.

Yes the SR6 are bottom mount.

POST 8Original post

@Deaton Bumping an old thread. Did you ever install the SR6s in your 996? Any issues?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 18659441

Yes I did. After a ton of research and searching the web I finally sourced 996 specific sliders made by Recaro that were not cheap at $320 usd a side. I got them from Stable Energies in 2020 part numbers below. REC-BKT-P2616,LFT REC-BKT-P2626,RHT Only issues is it is a very snug fit with the dial ***** that adjust the seat back tilt vs the interior of the car. Overall I love the seats they are a huge improvement over stock. I'm 6' 180lbs.

Thank you for the update and the specific part numbers. It seems many of the reclining Recaros are a tight fit in width on the 996s. I think this is still the route I want to go though.

POST 11Original post

bringing this back to life. Can you guys post pictures of them installed in your 996?
