Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i'm looking to do this due to the lack of lateral support... i was told to cross the shoulder belts behind the seat to help keep them from sliding off the shoulders, my main reason is to help keep me planted in the seat, let me know how it works, thanks! POST 2Original post

Sharp It depends on the kind f harness bar you use.If it has guides to keep the straps in the right place it should work fine as is. I used a Weltmeister harness bar for years in my 993. I suggest you also wear the factory 3 point belt ontop of the harness. Don't get in a rollover accident either because without a roll bar the roof may collapse and with your body held bolt upright by the harness ..well just don't go there. Rgds,

POST 3Original post

crossing the shoulder belts!!? i'm definetly sure theyre not designed for that - in the event of an accident you have noidea how that'll affect the physics of it all.

POST 5Original post

The Schroth instruction tell you to cross the shoulder belts if the attachment point is not directly behind the seat. So I wouldn't be too sure what the belts are designed for without asking the manufacturer. There are H type harnesses that stay together on stock seats, as well.
