Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was just wondering if anyone could help me decide on the right coil-over application for my '99 996. I currently have the H&R Sport Springs and they have served me well over the past 5 years. Now it is time to upgrade to a coil-over kit and I need some help. Specifically, which kits should I be looking at? I plan to start Club Racing this year as well as continue autocrossing too. So, I guess I would like to know what are you all are using and why? PSS9? H&R? Racers Group? Bilsteins? Eibach? Etc. Lastly, where did you purchase your setup? Any help would be greatly appreeciated. Thanks!!

POST 2Original post

Coilovers like PSS9s and H&Rs are fine for the street but they aren't going to cut it in club racing. For that you should be looking at either a dual or triple adjustable damper like Motons, Olins or JRZs. Of course that's just the beginning of the work you will need to do if you want to race your 996. You also need to question whether or not a 99 996 is a good base car on which to build a club racer. You will be in Stock C with 993 RSs, 993 TTs and some very fast progressed RSAs. In any case, you really need to hook up with a good race shop that can show you the ropes. Good luck. You'll have a blast. Jim

moton club sport with GT3 sway bars: amazing combo.

POST 5Original post

I have the H&R coilover kit, and although I like it a lot, it isn't quite stiff enough on the track. Next time I will either get the H&R RSS CLUB SPORT COIL OVER or JRZs.

POST 6Original post

Where can you get the Moton club sport from and how much do they run? John, you need to change your Avitar.
