if you're interested in seats just for track use, the recaro pole positions are 1/3 the price.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello, I have the full leather electric (with memory) seats, and Im planning on getting a set of GT3 Seats, but I just want to add during the track days, and then after remove them. How hard is to install and unistall them ?? And what about the harness ? Should remove the battery everytime I plug and unplug the GT3 seats ??? Any experiences ???
Thanks in advance!
Conrado
The GT3 (Recaro, 1-piece right?) seats are very easy to install and remove because they are so light. The full leather electric seats are soo heavy that I wouldn't want to be swapping them in and out.
No, you do not have to unplug the battery. Just be sure to leave the key out of the ignition until you plug the seat-belt receptacles in or you will trigger the air bag light.
Curious, why not leave the GT3 seats in? They are quite comfortable I think.
I second that. installing and removing the gt3 seats are piece of cake. but removing and installing the electric seats are a pain. I have the gt3 seats for everyday use and they're very comfortable. getting in and out of them takes a little pratice but you get used to them.

OK, it was just an idea to make more confortable for my wife...
Shell need to get used to the GT3 seats and a 6 point racing harness for driving to a restaurant!!!!
Thanks for all info!!!
if you're interested in seats just for track use, the recaro pole positions are 1/3 the price. They also weigh less, hold you better and have cloth inserts (which i like). the gt3 seats do look cool tho...
Conrado: Have her try the seats after you put it in. My wife actually likes the gt3 seats more then the power seats. She thinks the contours fits her better.

Where's the best place to get the Recaro pole positions and do they require special tracks to install??
Aren't the GT3 about 2500.00 a pair?
How much for the Recaro's??
And last dumb question, are they as comfortable as the GT3 and can you use them with a 5 point harness like the GT3's??
Thanks in advance..
2,500 for a pair of gt3 seats is a steal. perf. prod. sells them for $2,195 ea!
the discounted price on recaro pole positions are about $600 ea. you can use either a 5-pt or 6-pt harness. btw, the gt3 seats are oem by recaro.
:
I have the Pole Positions. As you can see, the harness is what they're made for. My wife likes the seats and finds them very comfortable, but they do take a bit of practice to get in and out of. They run $650+ new, then add $150 or so for sliders and brackets.
Another idea: I have the street belts fitted, as well as the harnesses. After the weekend, the 5 pt. belts are stowed over the harness bar behind the seat and we use the 3 point street belts for convenience through the week. Joe W.
If interested, DEVEK sells the GT3 seat in leather for $1250, and also have the 6 pt factory roll bar in stock.
