Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will soon need to replace my nearly worn out Pilot Sports, I have decided to go with Pilot Sport 2, N or no N . At this time they are available in my current sizes 225f/265r, but not yet in 285s. The 265s have never given me any trouble but I was thinking of moving up to the 285s on the rear even though there may be a bit more understeer with this package than I am used to having. I run 8"f/10r wheels FWIW so maybe the understeer won't be so bad. What is the consensus of the group, go with the PS2 265 or wait for the 285s?? Only problem, I will need these tires sooner rather than later so I would have to forego the PS2 if I want the 285s.

POST 2Original post

I use 285 and dont notice too much change in handling. If you need the tires now then you have to go with the 265. I like the 285 I think the 265 look small( narrow) on a 10" wheel. There are plenty of other good tire such as the Goodrich KD, Bridgestone S03, P- Zero, ect.. they all perform well. I agree with you Michellin dose make a great tire. You have to decide is the Michellin that important or the size is. I use S03 and I'm happy with them just my 0.02
