Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I did manually put it up before I left the dealer to make sure it worked and got an error on the computer shortly thereafter regarding the spoiler.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up my 02 cab in Ohio and we're driving it back down to FL. This thing rocks! It is so much better than our boxster. Anyway, when we stop the rear spoiler stays up? Is that normal? I thought it went up and down with speed. I did manually put it up before I left the dealer to make sure it worked and got an error on the computer shortly thereafter regarding the spoiler. We stopped and I manually put it down. No more errors, but the spolier doesn't seem to be going down anymore. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?

POST 2Original post

If you put the spoiler up manually, you need to be sure it goes all the way down when you manually put it back down, or it won't function properly.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i manually put it down several times tonight on the way home. it seems to find it's way up again, but won't go back down. i manually put it all the way down, or what appeared to be all the way down anyway each time. there isn't an indicator but the spoiler with flush in it's recess. i did get the spoiler error again. guess it's gonna need to go the dealer. bummer.

POST 4Original post

deputy-there is something wrong, as you suspect. you are correct in taking it to the dealer.

POST 5Original post

Because the car looks like its goes 75 even when it is standing still.

POST 6Original post

it's pobably broken! should be covered under warranty. before taking it to the dealer though i would raise it an lower it a couple of times using the button in the driver's wheel well. maybe it didn't go thru the whole cycle and is stuck?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

tried that. still won't funtion properly. i think it's officially busted! thanks for all the replies.
