Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think my 996 cab looks better with the rear spoiler extended (i.e., in the up position). But everytime I manually put it up, it eventually finds its way back to the down position the next time I turn the ignition off an then back on. I'm not sure precisely "when" it goes back down-- I've never caught it in the act--- but it does go down sometime after I turn the engine back on. Is it possible to set the spoiler so that it will stay up until I manually put it down? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Remove the D7 fuse and that will keep it up. The only down fall will be you will not be able unlock via key to the engine.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

RJMDAD996: Thanks for that excellent tip. One question: not sure what you mean by "not be able unlock via key to the engine." Do you mean that the ignition key will no longer automatically open the doors by pressing the button on the key? If not, can you explain? Thanks.

POST 4Original post

When you try to open the engine bay, via the door sil you will not be able to. Personally I like the rear up and then down, it looks so dam cool, when it goes up and then down. Enjoy...
