On mine there is a fill port between where the hoses for the hydraulics screw into the pump (between the 2 holes on pic #3).

I used a long hex to get the clearance since I had one, but a short piece of hex with a wrench instead of socket hex and ratchet would also work.

I just got my cylinders rebuilt and I'm trying to put all this back together but I want to locate where I refill the fluid before I get everything put together. I already have the fluid plus the syringe with the hose as recommended but I have no idea where the reservoir is, how to access it or how much fluid to put in it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The instructions that came back from the rebuilder show a completely different setup so it doesn't pertain to my car. 2004 TT. Thank you!

You might want to post in the 996 turbo forum. Your pump looks nothing like my 2000 C4. On mine there is a fill port between where the hoses for the hydraulics screw into the pump (between the 2 holes on pic #3).

So this is for a 2004 where they changed the cylinder on both 996 AND 996 turbo! Remove angle bracket remove hydraulic cylinder from bracket. Fill at end of cylinder 4mm hex Fill hole is at end of plastic reservoir. 4mm hex

I have the leaking cylinder seal issue on my 2001 Cabriolet. I was quoted $1150 from my local dealer to replace the cylinders. Is that price in the range of what a dealer should charge?

Porsche Charlotte Northlake , near the Northlake Mall in Charlotte, NC. The dealership opened in June of this year. They consider my 2001 a 'Classic Porsche', which means the hourly labor rate is reduced from $249 to $199. That may be why it's a good price.
