I was going to ask why not the Porsche Hand set but I think that's only for europe (GSM) ?

Anyone have a phone install for the 996 with the glove box? My TechArt phone install for my 01 C4 was perfect, however, it won't work on the new interior design of my 04 C4S because of the glove box. Thanks, Rob

That's my understanding as well... I think TechArt may have a new phone cradle that will fit with the glove box but I can't find any documentation.

Yes, I was told that it's only available in Europe. Not sure why, since we have GSM networks here, too, unless the Porsche phone module only covers a single non-US frequency.

I really don't want the phone anyway just the cradle. I have a motorola V60 and the handsfree kit and it works perfectly. All I need is a place to put the phone...

in fact I just installed it 2 days ago. My car is a 2003, it fits just fine. The glove box opens but it brushes off the carpeting of the phone cradle. At first, I was bummed but then I got use to it. The glove box opens fine, but there is now a very slight resistance due to the protruding carpet of the phone holder. I figured it would be very rare for me to open my glove box anyway.

Is the V60 a small phone? Why not mount it in the ash tray? Im sure you can make a plastic mount fit in there.
