Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of selling my 99 C4. It has a factory rebuit transmission and engine installed 2k miles ago. All new parts on the engine like plugs, water pump, belts, alternator, etc....Total miles are 52k now. It also has a transferable extended warranty for another 2 1/2 years and a Porsche warranty for 2 years on the engine and transmission. Also a new clutch and flywheel. What do think this car's worth? thanks guys

POST 2Original post

Why the new engine? Was the engine new? regards,

POST 3Original post

My best guess would put it between $35-38K. 99's have taken a good hit, the car is on the higher end regarding miles even though the motor is new, assuming light options since you didn't list and and it has a new engine.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Transmission is new too. lightly optioned. partial leather. 18" factory sport designs. Engine and tranny blew due to a bent crankshaft.

POST 5Original post

I do not see what's the fuss penalizing cars w/ recent engine replacements. After all it is a new lease on life with a factory engine (new/refurb does not matter). Most other brands will repair the engine locally, not as good as a new engine.
