Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that report identifying a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'wheel drive' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'wheel drive' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair form, your cause would be bolstered' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

obviously, if you documented it during a previous visit on a repair form, your cause would be bolstered.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I own a 99 C4 coupe that has had issues since I purchased it in 2001. Back then it was still under warrantee. I have has problems with warning lights coming on for no reason, radio turning on and off, a slight skip in the motor and rattles and squeaks all over the place to name a few problems.
My new issue is with the all wheel drive. Last winter it did not seem to work correctly so I asked my local dealer. There response was that they have never seen a problem with the all wheel drive units in this car. I just let it go at that point. This year I was stuck in the snow and the front wheels never engaged. It is clear that the system has failed. Porsche wants 1800.00 to fix the car. My issue with that is that the car was under warrantee when I first brought the problem to Porsche. Since Porsche service is the worst on the planet now they remember nothing with respect to our first conversation.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with someone at Porsche of North America that has the power to help? They do their best to isolate themselves from the people who buy these very expensive cars!
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Good luck and let us know how it went.
I have called that number many times. They are unwilling to let me talk with anyone with the authority to help. I have owned many cars in my 43 years on this earth. I have dealt with BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Porsche. Porsche is hands down the worst company to deal with. They want you to buy a car fro 80 to 100 thousand dollars and to then go away! I'm not going to let them get away with treating their "few" US customers in this way.
Thanks,
Scott
My PCNA rep was at my local dealer last Wednesday. He "refused to look at the car" because it was not under warrantee! Believe me when I say that I have tried to do this the nice way... Now i'm ready for war with Porsche! I have owned 3 911's since 1997. I'm a repeat customer! You know what they said at customer commitment about that? They said "maybe you should switch to BMW or Mercedes so you can get the treatment you desire. Porsche as a company is just not that way!". We will see...
Thanks,
Scott
scott-you bring up an interesting problem-what to do when you have a problem, and the dealer does not take care of it when it is under warranty. obviously, if you documented it during a previous visit on a repair form, your cause would be bolstered. i am amazed that they won't at least talk to you. if that is the case, your only option is to explore your rights in court.
Hi,
They did not document the all wheel drive problem because the service writer told me it could not be broken! Interesting to say the least... A month ago the put the car on the lift and tested the all wheel drive. The dealer said it works with no load so the clutch that transfers the power must be the problem. There not even really sure! Porsche uses the shotgun TS method! Keep replacing parts until you find the correct one. For all I know they are wrong and there is something minor wrong. I'm in NH and have no idea where to bring it for an independent look.
Thanks,
Scott
