Also if I were to change my stock suspension with x74, am I going to have any problem with rubbing?

My Questions are: If I replace my stock wheels (17") with the sport techno wheels (8x18 and 11x18), are there any issues which I should be concerned about?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just joined rennlist after becoming addicted to reading post about 996's all day long when I should be doing other stuff. Anyway I have an 03 C2 cab and am looking into upgrading some components on my car. My Questions are: If I replace my stock wheels (17") with the sport techno wheels (8x18 and 11x18), are there any issues which I should be concerned about? Does anyone use these wheels on a narrow body 911? Also if I were to change my stock suspension with x74, am I going to have any problem with rubbing? Should I consider a different wheel setup if I am contemplating the x74 in the future? I am also considering the PSE but I don't think that will present a problem in any case. ( am I right?) Thanks in advance, Anthony

POST 2Original post

The wheels will fit fine as long as you purchase them for a 996 not a Turbo or C4S. They have different offset for those cars. As far as the X74 the tires won't rub, from what I read the average lowering on this kit is about 1" to 1.25". I have eibach and it lowers about 1 inch and I have no problems rubbing with 18" wheels. However I am considering changing to M030 because I have an aero kit it I have to angle up my drive way too much so I don't scrape the bottom. The price I pay for living on top of a hill with a good view. I hope the M030 will raise the car 1/2 inch. The X74 is slightly stiff for some people, I would ride in someones car that has some type of sport suspension for a comparison. The PSE is a good exhaust you should not have any problems with it. The electronics to hook it up may be costly, but most people install it with the switch not hooked up.
