I recently checked/cleaned my radiators and AC condensers and they were in great shape, showing no signs of impending doom...I'll probably wait for the next time they go on sale

Because of the structure, lighter and thinner aluminum can be used for better heat transfer.

Aside from that Porsche likes to make mid year model changes on some cars so we prefer to get a little information from the customer so that we may better assist them in the best way possible as to avoid any mismatching parts e.t.c.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Aluminum Endtanks and Mounting Points

The CSF All Aluminum Race Radiator features aluminum endtanks and mounting points versus the weak plastic ones of the OEM units. The stock plastic endtanks start to degrade and become brittle over about 5-7 years time and tend to crack under high stress or vibration. CSF's all-aluminum endtank design are more durable and will last the lifetime of the vehicle.

The mounting points are all CNC machined aluminum as well versus the stock plastic mounting points. These are the parts of the tanks that tend to break off the most, especially during racing. When cars have bumper contact, or during high vibrations (i.e veering off track, going over bumps/ track chicane, high speeds, etc), the plastic mounting points tend to crack or break off, and the radiator starts to immediately leak fluid.
2 Row Core (dual core) with B-Tube Technology

by

, on Flickr
The CSF All Aluminum Race Radiator utilizes a 2 row core (dual core) with B-Tube technology rather than the single row of the stock unit. The B-tube technology is exclusive to CSF in the N. American high performance aftermarket. The B structure of the tube is stronger than a normal "oval" welded type tube. Because of the structure, lighter and thinner aluminum can be used for better heat transfer. This also makes the unit extremely lightweig.ht, weighs just as much as the OEM unit. Also the seam down the middle creates more surface area contact with the coolant for a total heat transfer benefit versus stock of about 20%, and it will keep even the most powerful and demanding engines cool even if pushed in extreme temperatures and conditions.
CSF designed these radiators to drop in fit, requiring no modifications to OEM mounting brackets and stock radiator location.
Features:
- Mirror Polished Finish
- Precision SAE Standard Filler Neck (Standard Caps Available)
- Drop-In Fitment Requiring No Modifications
- OE Specific Mounting Location
- Pressure Tested at 50% Higher Pressure Than OE Units
- 40% Higher Burst Strength Over OE Units
- All Aluminum Drain Plugs
- High Performance Multi-Louvered Fins
- Innovative B-Tube Technology

I don't want this to be one of those "if you have to ask you can't afford it!" Thanks for the wonderful advert. How much for left/right radiators for, of course, a 996?
Rennlist rules require to list a price for an advertised product.
Since these radiators are for racing application (a lot less harsh than everyday use), how were they tested for longevity in a daily driver, year around, environment?
We have no problem listing prices but there are so many various applications for Porsche that it really depends on the model, year, etc. For example the carrera will use different radiators than the boxster or the turbo or the GT3 so on so forth. Aside from that Porsche likes to make mid year model changes on some cars so we prefer to get a little information from the customer so that we may better assist them in the best way possible as to avoid any mismatching parts e.t.c.
With that being said, we have had numerous people install these on dailiy drivers as well as weekend track cars without any complaints so far.

So, yeah. Maybe it really is "If you have to ask.." Pretty cheesy to start a thread that says "Special Group Buy for 996 Radiator" and then not price it to the group. If there are that many variations in 996 radiators, maybe you should tell us which one the group buy applies to, WITH a price.
Let's just say they're in the $500 a piece range regardless of configuration...Certainly not a "gold plated" type of price, but probably not something I'd just do for the heck of it. I recently checked/cleaned my radiators and AC condensers and they were in great shape, showing no signs of impending doom...I'll probably wait for the next time they go on sale
