Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would normally recommend Fred Lavery but the chief mechanic of 25 years is out until Jan-Feb recovering from hip surgery.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, Picked up my new 'used' car last week. The snow melted a little today so it was the perfect time to take a pic. This is my 1st P-car and I can't wait for spring! Cheers Mike.
Congrats! I'm in Michigan too, Detroit area, I just put the snow tires this week. You plan on driving it thru the winter? If so I'd strongly recommend snow tires. Enjoy.
Pat
$2,500 is not only too much, it's outrageous. My dealer, Storms Motors in Southampton, N.Y., charged around $800 for the 30k service on my '99 C2 and that is in New York.
hey MI fellas, where do u go for maintenance and how much do they charge? does $2500 for 30k service sound like too much? btw i'm in annarbor!!!

$2500.00 is insane..... I'm in Pennsylvania and just paid $820.00 for my 30k service.
"Hi Pat, I'm over in K'zoo. I'm not planning to drive it much this winter. Just when the roads are clear and dry."
Snow tires in truth have little to do with snow but much more to do with tire temperatures and grip. Once the temperature gets below about 45F your tires will loose most of their grip and become like hockey pucks. A friend in Chicago this last winter thought he could "get away" with summer tires and ended up having an expensive gardening trip iinto someone else's back yard that included two tow trucks, a new front spoiler, body work on the driver's door and a new soft top, and a realignment of course. He was driving slowly.
You can buy cheap insurance for your car by calling up TireRack before it becomes an expensive claim...
On the subject of winter tires on a C2, I could spin the rear summers just by getting on the gas in first gear at anything under about 50F on a dry road, but with the Yoko AVS winters on doing the same thing, it digs in with no slip.
The summer tires seem ok at low temps., then it seems suddenly you find they're not ok! witness the above cross country story.
996 Aero,
$2500, you get free wheels with that? You are being taken my man!
There are two P dealers here in Detroit. Fred Lavery is in Birmingham and Bill Cook in Farmington Hills. I would normally recommend Fred Lavery but the chief mechanic of 25 years is out until Jan-Feb recovering from hip surgery. Your best bet is to call Bill Cook. Talk to Jackie, [phone removed], main number. Hope to meet you at a SEMA event. Good luck.
