Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 996.2 Targa has factory heated seats, and I'm looking to upgrade to the heated Recaro Sportster CS seat. Anybody retained the factory switches by wiring the seat into that. If not any guides on how to wire in the Recaro heater switch? Thanks Mike

POST 2Original post

My older recaro sportsters just have a 10 guage red and black. I just tapped into the large ground and 12v+ under the seat. If the seats r like mine u will have to get into the seat and wire the factory switch wires into the seats swich. Not impossible but it will take some work with a multimeter.

POST 3Original post

Like @De Jeeper mentioned, if you're going to try and use the factory heated seat buttons. It is going to take come work in the ECU wiring. I'd suggest to use the more straight forward method and utilize the power button on the side of the seat. Trenton O.
