Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On my 99 Black Cabriolet, one of the little black plastic circle parts that reside on the convertible top when the roof is down has fallen off somehow! I've attached a picture of my car below with an arrow pointing to the part (picture taken before it fell off). Can anyone on this list please help me identify what it is called and better yet, where I can get or order a new replacement part? I'd rather not go into a dealer if I don't have to and would love to order online if I knew where and what it was called. Thanks for any help in identifying this part and assisting me in putting it back on my car. I know it's a small detail, but it feels "empty" somehow with the part missing.. Thank you! Rio

POST 2Original post

I'd check with Gert at www.carnewal.com. E-mail him the pic, I' sure he can get it... Good luck. Roy

Great - thank you all for the advice. I'll hit the dealer up tomorrow for the part. Thanks again!
