Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Guys, Been toying with the idea of getting one of those dash kits from ebay. I know, I know. I have a p-car so i should get more expensive pieces, but some of them actually look pretty good and the prices aren't too bad. Has anyone purchased any of these kits. THanks Bob

POST 2Original post

i look at it this way: if a seller has an excellent rating (99%+ positive), and they've sold a lot of things, then they can't be selling crap or else people wouldn't be giving them all positive reviews. and the sellers who are selling the dash kits seem to sell a decent number of porsche parts to people like you who expect good quality, and those people are giving them good reviews. but if that isn't enough for you, look at the past items they've sold to see how many dash kits they've sold and what other people have to say about them.

POST 3Original post

I can't speak to the aluminum faux dash kits, but I did get a sample of the faux carbon fiber kit material and it really is terrible looking in person. I would also think that mounting the different pieces would be very difficult for a non-expert. Personally, I decided not to go that route. Just my.02

POST 4Original post

I had one of them on my car, when I got it from previous owner. And slowly but surely have been ripping them off and replacing by real thing Even though they are cut ok and look decent, they have overall feeling of second rate and cheesy.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
