Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just bought a 2003 Targa, Midnight Metallic Blue (love the car)!!! Went to the service department and bought plugs for the front plate holder. They took off the advertising front plate and put the plugs in for me (nice touch).
Someone had put the front plate on too tight and there are THREE small paint chips in the front. Dealer used touch up paint and filled the holes. I can see tell it and with the money that I spent I am not happy. Dealer said they would sand and re-paint front end but should I do that.
Am I just too picky, are paint chips going to happen anyway?
ADVICE PLEASE!!!
When I bought my car, there was a scrape on the rear decklid. I pointed it out, and the dealer immediately volunteered to fix it. (It was barely visible). The process was way more trouble than it was worth. I was without the car when I'd rather have had it. And the process left bad blood between the dealer and myself. (It involved a lot of rework!)
I track the car now, and I have chips here and there. It's not important, the car is still beautiful! The car won't stay new for long. Instead of torturing the dealer and yourself, strike up a deal for a discount on service or your next upgrade. We both would have been happier if I'd asked for a $500 deal instead of the repair.
I would not repaint the whole bumper for a few chips. This can be more trouble than it is worth. I would just have it very professionally touched up. There are companies that most dealers use that can airbrush in a small chip and it will look very good.
I do not think you are to picky. The only thing that matters is what you'll be happy with. Unfortunately, cars are not perfect forever. Drive and enjoy.
Strike a deal with your dealer NOW....its sooo much more worth the haggles and hassles, and to quote " the bad blood" that you need to avoid with that dealer and its service dept....trust me it really will pay off it you can make a move towards a comparable ( and enventual) modification or upgrade you will do in the future anyways!
good luck and have faith that it will work out! trust me, I know this first hand!
Hopefully, no one took my post to mean that I did not think the dealer should fix it. I definitely think they should fix it to the owners complete satisfaction
Look out for the survey.
Personally, I'd get the dealer to reapint the bumper, and fill and smooth the licence plate mounting holes while they're at it. looks way better than those silly plugs Porsche sends with the cars now.
