I saw a video on YouTube on how to replace the gear but no information on where to buy one.

After several attempts I gave up on using a 3D printed pin.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I think my cup holder gear broke this morning. This is the pancake one above the PCM and below the vents.
I saw a video on YouTube on how to replace the gear but no information on where to buy one.
Does anyone have contact information for someone who sells the replacement gear?
Thanks
Hi Corey, I have sucessfully designed and 3D printed a replacement gear that appears to be working fine. By your address I'd say your car is LHD (mine is RHD). If you like I can flip the 3D model and send you a 3D print file that anyone you know with a printer should be able to make for you. Let me know.
If it the same gear as the ashtray cover it could be be a high demand part. The gear itself is usually fine, but the mounting legs/tabs break off rendering it useless
Well I took the cup holder apart this weekend. My gear is ok, but the banana arm that connects to it has broken. I contacted charlieaf92 and he has a kit to repair it which comes with the gear, arm and a few other parts. If anyone hasn't seen his video on the cup holder tear-down and reassembly, its long but very very helpful.
Right now I have 1/2 put the car back together so I can at least move it around. Just waiting on new cup holders.
Hi Corey, see link below to 3d print files (STL) on Thingiverse for both LHD and RHD versions. (It might take 24 from now for it to be published)

The part looks like this:
Upon closer inspection of mine (RHD) I have made a minor adjustment to better position the sliding cover in the centre. Have a try and let me know if it needs adjustment and which way and I can update the file and repost it. You will note that the part does not have the pin installed. After several attempts I gave up on using a 3D printed pin. Instead I just made the 2.5mm diamter hole and pressed in the shaft of a screw (same diameter) which was cut to the right length. So far it has worked fine. Let me know how you go.
I have not. Mine was fine so I had no need to. If you can give me some dimensions I can do it. The only thing is that 3D printing may not be the right solution for that for strength and survivability. If I were making one i'd consider just cutting it out of aluminium plate.
