Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Mp3s will NOT play on Becker's CDR-23 or prior models for that matter.
people that have burned mp3 cds have all used programs that automatically convert the mp3s into WAV format (ie. 40mb per song instead of mp3's 4mb per song)
now, besides these cars costing 60k+... the thing that really bothers me, is that 2003 onwards, MOST bus will not allow any aftermarket / proprietary input into the amp/speaker network.
bastards...
apparently they have JUST started 'phase 2' (which includes aftermarket and proprietary etc) of MOST at becker and plan to implement in...
better sit down for this...
2 years.
thus, those with 03 Onwards cars have 5 choices if you want some options for mp3 players...
1. FM modulate an Ipod or CD changer w/ mp3 (can be done immediately)
2. wait for the becker online pro , the standard radio on the carrera GT its a 1 DIN unit, meaning it will fit, just hope it doesnt cost more than $2000...
(should be availible as soon as carrera GT comes out as a replacement unit, so i'm guessing middle of next year? - anyone know when the first carrera GTS are due to be delivered?)
3. wait for MOST phase2, (done in 2 years, and another 2-3 years for companies to make viable end user products...)
4. use the phone input (1 channel 1 speaker).
not too many options
personally i'm waiting for the online pro, until then, i'm going to get a cd changer.
1 question:
does decoding occur at the cd changer or at the head unit? - ie, if i buy a porsche CDC4 changer, will it be compatible w/ the online pro and mp3 cds?
Hope this helps clear up the confusion...
Tom.
Can an iPod be added into the auxilliary input of the CD23 of an 03/04 model? What do you mean by FM modulate? Does this cause any loss in sound quality?
winovin...I heard about this from a prior post. You plug this into the top of your ipod and it works over the fm signal. I just ordered one yesterday...I'll let you know if it's any good.

there IS no aux in for the CDR-23 (sadly.) - and yes, FM modulation reduces ultimate sound quality, alot.
oh, and did i mention that in busy areas, the 2-5 frequencys you can choose to modulate are usually busy... yea its hell
